About Us

SP Law was established in 2005 and was originally based on Stimpson Avenue in Northampton. In May 2017, the firm amalgamated with Ryan & Frost Solicitors, an experienced and well respected firm based in Wellingborough.

More recently, we’re delighted to announce that SP Law has merged with EMW Law LLP.  The deal gives SP Law’s clients access to the wider breadth of legal services offered by EMW. EMW is a full-service law firm with offices in Milton Keynes, London, Gatwick and Brighton, and works with both UK and international clients.

So, we’re a business that sells legal services however we’re also a business just like any other. We’ve had our ups and downs, we’ve grown, we’ve moved offices, we have fought our own legal battle and experienced our share of challenges.

As the old cliché says we’ve been there and done that, have the t-shirts, which we believe means we can safely say we have been in your shoes at one time or another, whatever the situation you are in.

Our clients will testify that we treat people as equals and are “lawyers” who speak plainly. Our team are highly experienced individuals with expertise in their respective legal fields and we are all genuinely interested in yours.

For our business clients, we can also assist with a full range of business law advice and transactions including buying and selling businesses, company law, partnership law, business contracts, commercial property and commercial litigation.

The practice has achieved the Law Society’s ‘Lexcel’ practice management accreditation year on year since 2010.

In 2011, we were the first firm of Solicitors in Northamptonshire to attain the Law Society’s ‘Conveyancing Quality’ accreditation.

EMW have also recently secured B Corp certification, awarded to companies that place social good and environmental stewardship at the heart of their business.
