Lynsey Ward

Associate Solicitor

Lynsey deals with all family matters such as divorce, finances, children and cohabitation disputes. Lynsey qualified as a solicitor in February 2012 after a varied training contract. She went on to specialise in family and private client which are the areas of law that she most enjoys. Lynsey studied law at Kingston University London and obtained a First Class Degree in Law and Criminology. She went on to study the Legal Practice course in Bristol where she obtained a Merit. Following her studies, Lynsey worked as a Paralegal at a family law firm in Milton Keynes where she managed her own divorce and domestic violence caseload as well as assisting on public law care cases. Lynsey moved to Northampton to undertake her training contract at a local firm where she was involved in several reported cases. Lynsey was awarded the title of ‘Junior Lawyer of the Year’ 2015 by the Northamptonshire Law Society and was also shortlisted a ‘Solicitor of the Year’ in 2017. Lynsey joined SP Law in January 2018 and continues to specialise in family law as well as private client. In 2019 Lynsey won the Northamptonshire Law Society’s ‘Solicitor of the Year’ category. Lynsey works part time, as she also lectures law at the University of Northampton. She is also a member of the Northamptonshire Law Society Council and a Trustee of Relate Northants. She also has twin girls who keep her extremely busy outside of work!
