Jessica undertakes work on all private law family matters including the following:

  • Divorce;
  • Finance;
  • Children matters;
  • Surrogacy matters;
  • Home-schooling and schooling disagreements;
  • Pre-nuptial agreements;
  • Post-nuptial agreements;
  • Cohabitation agreements; and
  • Unmarried couple disputes.

Jessica commenced working at SP Law as a family law paralegal in October 2016. During her time at the firm Jessica has worked on a range of other areas of law including residential conveyancing, commercial property, company matters and litigation disputes giving her a broad understanding of other legal matters.

Jessica qualified as a solicitor in December 2020 and later that month as a Higher Civil Courts Solicitor-Advocate, specialising in family law which she is extremely passionate about.

Jessica studied an LLB Business Law degree at De Montfort University and obtained a First Class with honours degree in 2013. Jessica then went on to study the Bar Professional Training Course at City Law School, after receiving two scholarships. She qualified the course with an award of Very Competent.

Jessica was called to the Bar in 2015 however, decided not to undertake pupillage. After commencing working at SP Law, Jessica chose to commence the Legal Practice Course with a Masters in Law in 2018. Jessica chose to specialise her Masters in surrogacy law. Jessica graduated from the University of Law in Birmingham with a Distinction.

Jessica won Northamptonshire’s Law Society’s award for Junior Lawyer of the year 2019.

In her spare time Jessica runs an online business selling clothes which fits in well with her shopaholic nature. Jessica also enjoys spending time with her younger sister and caring for her pets.
